1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using the Northstack Academy website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms are between you and Northstack Academy Inc. (“Northstack Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference and explains how we handle personal data. You can review it at /privacy-policy/.
Minimum age: the Site is intended for individuals who are at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, you may use the Site only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2. Educational and Informational Disclaimers
Northstack Academy provides IT education and admissions guidance. The Site content is offered for general information about our programs, admissions processes, and learning approach. It is not a substitute for independent professional advice for your organization’s legal, compliance, security, or operational requirements.
Any examples, scenarios, labs, or project descriptions are illustrative. Outcomes depend on many factors, including prior experience, time spent practicing, the tools used in an employer environment, and the hiring process of third parties. We do not promise or guarantee employment, specific salary levels, or specific job outcomes.
Where the Site references security practices (for example, least privilege, credential handling, or incident notes), the information is educational in nature. You remain responsible for evaluating and implementing security controls appropriate to your context, including any regulatory or contractual obligations.
3. Description of the Site and Services
The Site provides information about Northstack Academy programs and may include admissions resources such as checklists, timelines, and general guidance. The Site also includes a contact form that lets you send an intake request to our admissions team.
We may update the Site from time to time, including changing, adding, or removing pages and content. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time without notice. We are not obligated to maintain any specific content or feature.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available” for informational and communications purposes. Any separate program agreement, enrollment documentation, or written quote provided by Northstack Academy (if applicable) may impose additional terms that apply to the relevant program or engagement.
4. Admissions Contact and User Submissions
When you submit information through the admissions contact form (or by email or phone), you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for the content you submit, including any text in the message field and any details about your goals or organization.
Please do not submit sensitive data through the Site. In particular, do not submit government identification numbers, banking or payment card data, or special-category data (such as health information). If you choose to include sensitive details despite this request, you do so at your own discretion.
By submitting content to us, you grant Northstack Academy a limited right to use that content for the purpose of responding to your request, evaluating admissions fit, and improving our admissions process. We will handle personal data according to our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Site. In particular, you agree that you will not:

- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site in a way that imposes an unreasonable load or extracts content without permission.
- Submit false information, impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Use the Site to send spam, bulk requests, or repeated messages intended to disrupt our operations.
- Use the Site in violation of applicable laws, including export control or sanctions laws that may apply to software and technical information.
We may restrict or block access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if your activity threatens the security, reliability, or availability of the Site.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content (including text, layout, design elements, trademarks, and any instructional descriptions or materials presented on the Site) are owned by or licensed to Northstack Academy Inc. and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your personal or internal informational purposes. 9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Northstack Academy Inc., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational harm, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $100.

10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Northstack Academy Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your submissions or communications; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
11. Force Majeure
Northstack Academy will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, war, terrorism, labour disputes, pandemics, internet or telecommunications outages, cyberattacks, or failures of hosting or cloud providers.
12. International Use
Northstack Academy is based in Canada and the Site is intended primarily for Canadian audiences. We make no representation that the Site is appropriate or available for use in every location. If you access the Site from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree that courts located in Toronto, Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws.
If you are a consumer located in a jurisdiction that grants you mandatory rights under local law, those rights may apply regardless of the governing law clause above.
14. Dispute Resolution
Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to contact us and provide a short description of the issue so we can try to resolve it informally. Unless a shorter period is required by law, each party will allow 30 days for informal resolution.
Nothing in this section limits either party’s right to seek urgent injunctive relief to prevent unauthorized access, data misuse, or infringement of intellectual property.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site (in whole or in part) at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Site. You may stop using the Site at any time.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
